A Widget Isn’t Showing Up
If a widget is not showing up after Speed Layer installation, work through a quick diagnostic process before escalating.
Step 1: Confirm what is missing
- Identify the widget and vendor.
- Note which pages are affected.
- Test in an incognito window.
Step 2: Check if the widget is blocked by consent
Some widgets only load after consent is granted.
Step 3: Check the browser console
Console errors often identify missing dependencies or conflicts.
Public reference: Chrome DevTools console
Step 4: Check network requests
Use the Network tab to confirm the vendor script is requested and loaded.

Step 5: Confirm installation
Incorrect installation can change how scripts are coordinated. See Speed Layer Basic Installation.
Step 6: Escalate if the widget is critical
If a critical conversion tool is missing, capture the page URL, widget name, steps to reproduce, and any console errors, then escalate to support.
