What a Page Is
A Page is where you build the content visitors read.
What a Page is
In Marketplace, a Page is a Sanity document that contains an ordered list of Sections (content blocks).
A Page defines:
- The internal name used to identify it in Sanity Studio
- The list of Sections and their settings
- Optional Page-level SEO fields (when enabled for that Page)
What a Page does not define
A Page does not control:
- The URL visitors type (that is controlled by a Route)
- The overall page layout template (also controlled by the Route)
- Which navigation appears (usually Defaults, or a Route override)
Pages can be reused
A single Page can be referenced by more than one Route.
When you publish a Page, every URL that uses that Page can update.
Pages need a Route to be visible
A Page is not shown on the live site unless at least one Route points to it.
If a Page has no Route, visitors cannot reach it on your website.
