Basic Troubleshooting Checklist
Use this checklist to troubleshoot common Speed Layer questions and issues before escalating.
Checklist
1) Confirm installation
- Speed Layer script is present on the live site.
- The script is placed early in the head.
- The script is not using async or defer.

2) Confirm Speed Layer is active
Use the verification steps in the activation guide. See: How to Confirm Speed Layer Is Active.
3) Validate key pages
- Homepage
- SRP
- VDP
- Lead form pages
4) Validate critical tools
- Confirm chat works
- Confirm lead forms submit
- Confirm trade-in and payment tools load and function
5) Check for console errors
Console errors often identify script conflicts or missing dependencies.

6) Check for recent changes
Ask whether there were recent changes to tag managers, third-party tools, site templates, or platform updates.
7) Escalate when needed
If a critical conversion path is broken, capture details and escalate.
