Content Is Structured (Not Page Builder-Based)
Marketplace uses structured content. You build pages by adding Sections and filling in their fields.
What “structured content” means
In Marketplace, you do not build a page on a blank canvas.
Instead:
- You add predefined Section types to a Page
- Each Section has specific fields (text, images, buttons, settings)
- Marketplace renders those fields into a consistent design on your website
Why this matters for your team
Structured content helps keep your site reliable and consistent.
You will typically notice that:
- Page layouts stay on-brand because styling is controlled by the site Theme
- Content can adapt to different screen sizes without extra work
- Sections can require specific fields before you publish
- Dynamic Sections can pull live data automatically (for example locations, reviews, or inventory counts)
What you can control
Depending on the Section type, you can control:
- Which Sections appear on a Page
- The order of Sections from top to bottom
- The content inside each Section (copy, media, calls to action)
- Section settings (for example layout options like media left vs right)
- Section color settings when available (background and text color options)
What you cannot control
Marketplace is designed to prevent accidental layout issues. In most cases:
- You cannot change the underlying design system (fonts, spacing, and component styling)
- You cannot inject custom HTML or CSS into a Page
- You cannot freely combine layout elements outside of the available Section types
