First-Time Setup Checklist

Use this checklist during onboarding to confirm your Marketplace site is ready for day-to-day content updates.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

• Your Sanity Studio URL
• Login access for your team

What Auto Genius configures before handoff

• Your Project document
• Your site Theme
• Your Locations and key data connections
• Core Routes and Pages (home, inventory, vehicle detail pages, locations)
• Default header and footer navigation

What you should review first

1. Confirm Locations

   • Verify location names, addresses, phone numbers, and department hours
   • Confirm any legal or policy text that appears site-wide

2. Review navigation

   • Check header and footer links
   • Confirm link order and any dropdown groupings

3. Preview core pages

   • Home page
   • Inventory (search) page
   • Vehicle detail pages
   • Locations page
   • Use preview to confirm layout and content sections look correct.

4. Review SEO basics

   • Confirm default SEO settings if they are available to you
   • Review any Route-level overrides for key pages

5. Add redirects (if applicable)

   • List legacy URLs from your previous site
   • Point each old URL to the best matching new URL

6. Check scheduled publishing (if you plan a timed launch)

   • Confirm your timezone and publish date/time
   • Schedule a test publish if your workflow allows it
