Trade Integrations
Overview
Trade integrations let shoppers get an estimated value for their current vehicle as part of the Marketplace trade-in flow. Auto Genius supports multiple trade valuation providers, and your project is configured to use the provider that matches your dealership setup.
Trade valuation is a high-intent action. It commonly appears as:
- A primary CTA on inventory pages
- A navigation link (for example, “Value Your Trade”)
- A location action card (when enabled)
How the trade flow works in Marketplace
The trade flow is designed to produce a lead, not just a number.
Typical steps:
- VIN or license plate entry
- Vehicle detail confirmation and condition questions
- Valuation returned from the trade provider
- Lead capture (contact details)
- Confirmation and routing to the appropriate location or team
The UI steps can vary slightly by provider, but the intent is consistent: the valuation is paired with lead submission.
Supported trade valuation providers
Marketplace can support the following providers:
Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer (KBB ICO)
KBB ICO is a widely used trade valuation option. When enabled, the trade experience uses KBB’s valuation workflow to generate an offer.
You should plan to provide:
- Your KBB program details and any required identifiers
- Any provider requirements for display and compliance messaging
TradePending
TradePending supports instant offer-style trade valuations. When enabled, Marketplace routes valuation steps through TradePending’s integration.
You should plan to provide:
- TradePending account details
- Any required store or rooftop routing expectations
Vincue
Vincue trade valuation is commonly used by dealers who also use Vincue in other parts of their inventory workflow. When enabled, Marketplace uses Vincue as the valuation source.
You should plan to provide:
- Vincue account details
- Any required mapping for multi-location setups
AutoAcquire
AutoAcquire provides trade valuation capabilities that can be enabled within the Marketplace trade flow.
You should plan to provide:
- AutoAcquire credentials or identifiers
- Any required routing and lead handling details
AccuTrade
AccuTrade can be used for appraisal-style flows. When enabled, Marketplace uses AccuTrade as the valuation source.
You should plan to provide:
- AccuTrade program details
- Any workflow requirements that affect lead capture and follow-up
Configuration model: site enablement and identity values
Marketplace integrations are enabled using two mechanisms:
Project-level configuration
Auto Genius enables the trade valuation capability for your site at the project level.
Identity values (when required)
Some providers require URLs, IDs, or keys to be stored as identity values on:
- The project (site-wide)
- A location (rooftop-specific)
This allows a dealer group to route different locations differently when needed.
Analytics and event tracking (ASC)
Marketplace tracks key shopper actions through an automotive event spec aligned to ASC (Automotive Standards Council) conventions.
For trade, the most important outcome is measuring:
- Trade flow engagement
- Trade lead submissions
- Attribution back to inventory pages and campaigns
Typical tracked moments include:
- Entering the trade flow
- Completing key steps (VIN captured, valuation returned)
- Submitting the trade lead
These events can be forwarded through Auto Genius telemetry and routed to downstream analytics destinations (for example, GA4) via your analytics configuration.
If you need a specific ASC event mapping for your reporting, share your required conversions and naming requirements with Auto Genius so the implementation can be verified against your measurement plan.
What to review after setup
After a trade integration is enabled, review:
- Entry points across the site (navigation, SRPs, VDPs)
- VIN and license plate handling
- Valuation response and messaging
- Lead capture step and confirmation
- Multi-location routing behavior (if applicable)
- Analytics reporting for trade conversions
