What Marketplace Is
Marketplace is Auto Genius’s website platform. You manage your site in Sanity, and your changes publish to your live website.
What Marketplace powers
Marketplace powers the public-facing parts of your dealership website, including:
Inventory browsing (search results and vehicle detail pages)
Location pages (hours, contact info, directions)
Content pages (promotions, service pages, about pages)
Integrations like chat, trade-in, and finance tools (when enabled for your site)
Your site is a Project
In Marketplace, your dealership website is organized as a Project. A Project connects:
Inventory data (vehicles, brands, body styles)
One or more Locations
Your website content (Routes, Pages, and Sections)
Your Theme (site-wide styling)
Your integrations and tracking
What you edit (and what you do not)
You do your day-to-day work in Sanity.
You edit structured content, such as Pages, Routes, and section content.
You publish when you are ready for changes to go live.
Behind the scenes, Marketplace serves your website using a rendering layer at the edge.
You do not need access to this layer to manage content.
Publishing triggers the site to refresh so visitors see the latest content.
